Coordinator Page
As a Driving School Coordinator you work with B.R.A.K.E.S. and others in your community to bring the driving school to your town. The school would be two days, Saturday and Sunday, and would train a total of 160 teens. If interested, please review the following information and then contact us to get started!
The main requirement –
The main requirement is adequate parking lot space. We need roughly 150,000 ft. of paved, level, open space. Open space means there can not be a lot of medians, light poles, islands, etc. Places in your town to consider:
- Community College
- Stadium or arena
- High school
- Large factory or corporation
- Race track
- Fairgrounds
Who’s responsible for what –
B.R.A.K.E.S. is capable of handling every aspect of the school including:
- Sign-up and registration of all teens and parents
- Set-up and break down of courses and classroom area
- Insurance coverage
- Snacks and drinks
- Provision of all equipment needed for courses (vehicles, markers, lane change simulator, water truck)
- All materials needed for classroom session (instructional guides, graduation certificates, driving contracts, take home materials, gift bags, tables, chairs, PA system)
- Personnel (Lead instructor and 10 professional driving instructors)
- Marketing and public relations services (promoting the school to encourage registration as well as media coverage)
Raising the funds –
B.R.A.K.E.S. will do what we can to assist coordinators in securing the funds for a driving school. A few ideas:
- Work with us to apply for a local, community grant
- Ask local corporations to contribute (we are a 501(c)(3) so all donations are tax deductible)
- Hold fundraisers
B.R.A.K.E.S. will be able to lower the cost of bringing the school to your town if you work with us to get any of the following donated or if any of the following is available for use at the driving school location:
- Vehicles
- Tent or similar structure
- Bathrooms
- Water truck
- Snacks and drinks
- Hotel rooms
